LITMUS TEST
Litmus is a water soluble mixture of dyes extracted from lichens.
It is often absorbed onto filter paper to produce one of the oldest
forms of pH indicator, used to test materials for acidity.
Their are two types of test carry by pH indicator.
1. acid test.
2. base test.
ACID TEST- In acid test blue litmus paper turns to red under acidic condition.
BASE TEST- In base test red litmus paper turns to blue under basic condition.
